I liked Molly from the beginning of the series even though she was mean to a lot of the family I knew there had to be a reason and her ex-husband Freddie turned out to be a real jerk no wonder she hated the world. Once she lands on her feet we get to see the real loving person that she is.
I liked José but I feel like there could have been more to him, I didn't love him as much as I did Molly and Peyton and I'm not quite sure why, his story was interesting and sad but I'm really happy that he was able to take in his brother and sisters, nephew and niece. I loved how gave Laura and Vic the family they deserved.
Peyton was by far my favorite he had so many insecurities that he had to break through and I loved the fact that his Chinese adoptive parents showed him how to love based on the person and not on blood or looks. I loved that he thought his amputation was a curse instead of a blessing when in reality everyone loved him and treated him like the war hero he is.
And last I'm so happy about the ending of the book, a beloved character was ill and we were left on a cliffhanger at the end of Renovating a Heart and in this book we finally get to find out what happens to this character and it will make your cry.
