This book is about a woman named Alexa she's a vampire and she's lost her powers. She needs to find a champion to fight for her if she wants to survive and keep control of her coven. Brendan is a man from Alexa's past and he's in grave danger, but he has a mission and he'll do what it takes to complete his mission and save the humans race. Can Alexa and Brendan livI e up to their destinies and find love together or will they lose everything?I really liked this story, I haven't read anything in the Magic, New Mexico series but i'll definitely be checking it out after reading this story. Alexa is badass! But she's also sweet and cares for those she loves. Brendan is a tough SOB and he's willing to protect Alexa even if she doesn't accept him romantically. I loved all the shifters in this story and the whole world that was created in Magic, New Mexico and Mist. It was a lot of fun to read.
