Krinar Revenge by Heather Heistand

This book is set after the failed resistance attempt in the original Krinar Chronicles. Conway has just lost his mother five years after she left to be a K's charl. He wants revenge for her death because Ks and their Charls don't die from aging only accidents so he's convinced it was murder. He sets out to join a resistance cell and ends up finding a beautiful woman. Venus works for her father and the resistance but when she sees Conway she wants him and the feeling is mutual. When an important K technology gets stolen from Conway by Venus' family members and he's left nearly dead she accepts the help of a K to keep him alive. Unfortunately things go south for the new couple. Can Venus and Conway save each other and begin a lasting relationship?

This book was short and faced paced. We get to find out a little about another resistance movement. We see an evil K although in other books Ks have been shown as dominant and ruthless they've never been portrayed as evil which I truly feel Fevet was. I enjoyed learning about some new Krinar technology that doesn't exist in the original trilogy and some that do. This was a fun short story about two people coming together to fight a threat to themselves and humankind.
