Branded Possession (The Machinery Of Desire #3) by Cari Silverwood

Now that Drette is dead Gio finds herself in trouble. Under the torture of Ryke who works for the king she must survive without losing her secrets. Ryke wants the secrets of portal making that he thinks Gio has but will he find the answers he seeks or will he discover something else within his captive?

This book had so much stuff going on! I loved the underdeck and the whole storyline about Ryke's mother. I really loved Gio she was badass and could play mind games just as well as Ryke. Ryke for his part was a bastard but I still liked him. At the end when the Gathering happens and the chapters after that were surprising and really cool. A very interesting story with lots of twists and turns I loved it.

Wicked Ways (Dark Hearts #1) by Cari Silverwood

This story was a mindfuck. A little sexy, a little mystery, some suspense. I loved learning about Zorie, her past is still kind of a mystery but I hope to find out more about her in future books, the same thing goes for Grimm and Mister Black. The ending was quite surprising to find out there is a loose link between Grimm and Zorie. And what is Mister Black going to do with her? Lots of questions that make me want to read the next book.

ISAK & Red by Cari Silverwood

This book was very interesting. I didn't know what to expect but it was very different than the previous book Used. I liked seeing Red try to help Isak be more "normal". The craziness that happens in this book are mental. Some parts were kind of gross, some were nerve wracking and some were hot. The sex and kinkiness is hot as always in a dark way. I never knew what was going to happen throughout the story. The ending was very rough but then has a HEA which I loved. A very interesting read.

Used by Cari Silverwood

Like the other books in the Wicked Hearts series this story is about a woman named Red who comes under the control of a mesmer named Isak. This story is twisted and fucked up and awesome. A short read but enjoyable if you've read the series. May be confusing if you haven't read the other books though so read them first.

Clockwork Stalker (The Dirty Heroes Collection, #7) by Cari Silverwood

This book is about Sherlock Holmes and Wilhelmina Moriarty trying to figure out why women are turning up dead.

I enjoyed this book as it's own book because to be honest I've never read Sherlock Holmes so a lot of the play on the original novel's characters was lost on me. I thought Holmes was a little mad and pervy which is how most of Cari Silverwood's heroes are. Willa was fierce but also submissive when she needed to be for Holmes. The sex was hot and the story was mysterious as we have no idea what's happening with Willa's invention or the dead women.

I would recommend this book if you like retellings (reimaginings?) (a sexy, weird version) of Sherlock Holmes but also if you're a fan of Cari Silverwood's style of storytelling and sexy characters and situations.

The Dom with the Clever Tongue (Badass Brats #3) by Sorcha Black, Cari Silverwood & Leia Shaw

This book is about Reece and Scarlet who are in a loving relationship until Malachi joins their dynamic to teach Scarlet how to Domme Reece. At first it's supposed to be temporary but when matters of the hearts come into play can the three of them figure out their feelings before they lose everything?

I really loved Reece she was sassy and sweet but also very submissive. Scarlet is fierce as a Domme once she understands her power over Reece and how she's super submissive because she needs to keep control in all other aspects of her life. Malachi was sweet, he's a good Dom but he also cares about Scarlet and Reece's relationship.

There's another hiccup to their agreement, Malachi used to bully Reece back in high school so she's nervous about letting him show Scarlet how to take control of her in the bedroom. Luckily for all of them she agrees to look past their mutual past and see Malachi for who he is currently. This starts a journey between the three of them that they weren't expecting. I really enjoyed the ending. As most Badass Brats books the trio end up together in a happy committed relationship that's based on mutual respect.

I would definitely recommend this book to others if you like, D/s, brats, love and communication between loving partners. This was a great book.

The Dom with the Perfect Brats (Badass Brats 2) by Sorcha Black, Cari Silverwood & Leia Shaw

This book is about Cross who owns a Goth clothing shop, Gemma the new tattoo artist from the store next door and Izzy an Australian who's new in the US. The three of them meet in the tattoo shop and things start to evolve. The three of them decide to start a casual relationship not knowing that they might actually be meant to be together. When an unexpected danger threatens their relationship will they resolve their issues and find love?
This book was a lot of fun I really liked this trio. Gemma is fiesty, Izzy is sweet but spunky and Cross is super hot and alpha dommy! I loved the dynamic between the three of them. I also enjoyed that they each had their own issues that they needed to work through. They all have preconceived notions of how a relationship could work and their different sexual orientations. Luckily for them they manage to figure it out. The ending was unexpected! What a surprise but of course things ended well which made me happy. The danger allowed the three of them to loosen up and realize that they don't want to lose what they have between the three of them. A fun read.

Exquisite Possession (The Machinery of Desire #4) By Cari Silverwood

This book is about Fern who is Sawyer's sister and JI who now has full control of Osta's body. Ji's plan is to keep Fern as his pet and Fern wants only to survive after her horrific encounter with the Judge. Aunt M's plan is to destroy the Judge but things don't go as planned. Will everyone get what they want?
I enjoyed this final book. I loved Fern she was badass and so freaking strong. I cried for her pain and Ji he was so fun to watch discover human emotions after having been a mech forever. The Judge is as cruel as ever and I couldn't wait to see him die. Aunt M made me a little angry even though I knew it wasn't her fault the way she acted. The ending was interesting all in all a pretty well rounded ending to a great series.

Steel (Dark Monster fantasy 2) by Cari Silverwood

This book was interesting. Different than the first book. I found that there was more plot in this story than the first book. I enjoyed reading about Ember, Baz and Hoss. They were an unlikely trio. Baz starts out as a jerk but turns into a really nice guy. Hoss was a little... weird but I liked him. The cybermonks were freaky. The whole book was a fun read.

Claimed Possession (The Machinery of Desire Book 2) by Cari Silverwood

Aribelle is a free woman but things are going to change when her caravan is attacked by scavs. When the slave she was about to punish becomes the slave owner she finds out that she likes sex, a lot. Ari has to survive and so does Sawyer can they survive each other and the enemies around them?

SPOILER ALERT!

=======================================================================

This book was crazy! I loved the first book and thought it was dark but this book is another level of dark. I loved Sawyer right from the beginning and wanted him to slay all his enemies I also love that he's doing all the things he wants to to Ari all the things he can't do in the human world. He was a real ass but I liked him. Aribelle seems to like everything he does even when he's being mean to her. I loved that he freed her so she'd come back to him willingly. JI Mech! I love that guy but hated how his "innocence" is taken advantaged of. The ending when he takes over Osta's body? Head? was really creepy ugh. This was definitely a great story and I can't wait to see what other dark ideas Cari comes up with for her next book.

Nightmare Rising (The Nightmare Trilogy 1) by Cari Silverwood & Nicolette Hugo

I usually write a summary of the books I read/review then my opinion of the book but this book is just to hard to summarize without giving any spoilers so I'm going to jump right into my opinion of the book. This book was batshit crazy! But in a good way. I always loving seeing what Cari can come up with in terms of story building. It's always a new world with new rules and it's so fascinating! At first it was confusing because I couldn't understand what was happening then I thought I understood some things then I was confused again. I loved Val and Zara they were such an odd but well matched couple. I loved that both of them were trying to figure out their new "powers" I guess you could say and trying to understand the new world they now live in. Zara searching for her SK was the main focus of the story but we still found out a lot of other things along the way. I was confused about the serial killer then I figured it out but it was hard to grasp until he's locking her and Val in the room. I still don't understand all the characters and what their roles are but it is the first book of a series so i'm sure I'll get more answers in the next book. The ending was so surprising! Wow what a way to go out with a bang! Totally love everything Cari Silverwood writes and I can't wait to read more.

Acquired Possession (The Machinery of Desire 1) by Cari Silverwood

This book is about a young woman named Emery. She finds herself in another world. In this world the people are called Mekkers and humans are rare and precious. The way people know if someone is human is by the fact that they glow. Their hair, their nails all glow which attracts Mekkers to them. Humans are also not considered "people" and so Emery finds herself a slave in this strange world. If that wasn't bad enough humans are coveted because their fluids have something that the Mekkers need to survive. Although any fluids can do blood is preferred. So not only is Emery a slave she's also being used for her blood. This world is technologically advanced but also seems as if it's behind on other things. Emery's goal is to escape and gain back her freedom. Unfortunately she's taken some old and dangerous technology with her on her escape. She is then hunted down by the slave master of the man who owns her. He's determined to bring her back and gain rewards but is it possible that the cruel master wants her for other reasons? Could he be growing attached to her? Danger is around every corner and Emery must navigate this world that she knows nothing about. Can she survive?

I really liked this book it was so weird and really original. When Emery becomes slave I was so sad for her. I also was super creeped out about the way that the Mekkers take blood by a tube permanently left in the slaves neck. It was really gross scene to read but really cool as well. I hope maybe in a future book that Emery's friend Fern may have survived her punishment because that was so cruel. The Mekkers are vicious people and I would definitely not want to find myself in their world. The things that Emery is subjected to... definitely not for the faint of heart I had to take a break at certain places. This is definitely one of the darker books that I've read and I loved it. Seeing Mako's point of view was really fun and he grows on you as you read. I hated him in the beginning and loved him by the end of the book can't wait to see what else happens in this world.

Rough Surrender by Cari Silverwood

This book is about a woman named Faith who loves to fly. She has her own plane and she's in Cairo for an air meet. There she meets Leonhardt. He's kinky but he's stopped his sexual practices when a prostitute dies at a club he had attended and he could have saved her. Now he meets Faith and he's attracted to her and he discovers that she likes kink to. They start a relationship but there is conflict because he doesn't like that she flies he wants to keep her on the ground where she's safe. While this is happening there are murders going on an someone from Leonhardt's past shows up and he could be dangerous to Faith.

I really liked this book. It was interesting to read the description of Cairo and the different types of planes. I liked that Leonhardt could be dominant but also gentle with Faith. Faith is a spitfire. She knows what she wants and that's to fly but she also knows she wants was Leonhardt can give her. There relationship is hot! The sex is kinky. I liked the mystery behind the murders and who was actually responsible. The last few chapters were crazy! I couldn't believe what was happening. But luckily things turn out well. A great story.
