Ruthless Savior (Captive 5) by Julia Sykes

It's finally here! I'm so excited that I finally got to read Marisol's and Raul's story! I loved Marisol she was sweet but feisty and Raul was so hot! I didn't think I would love another couple more than I love Sam and Andrés but Marisol and Raul are now my new favorites! I just loved everything about this story! Such a great read!

Wicked King (Captive 4) by Julia Sykes

This book was a great read I really liked the relationship between Carmen and Stefano. At first I didn't like Carmen that much but she grew on me. I find she's different than most of the heroines that Julia writes and it was nice to see a different kind of character. Stefano is a psycho which was hilarious but I like that that's how all bad guys in Julia's books are, they really do care for their women. I do find that the ending was rather anti-climactic I kind of wish Carmen had made her enemies suffer more than she did but I understand that things ended the way they needed for her to come to terms with her journey. This was a wonderful read and I can't wait to find out what happened to Marisol.

Pretty Hostage (Captive 3) by Julia Sykes

This book was awesome. I couldn't wait to read about Mateo and Sofia since they were introduced in Valentina's book. The story was pure perfection I can't say anything better than that it was worth the wait. The thing I really enjoyed about this story was that it really reminded me of King. I felt like Sofia and Mateo were another version of Charlotte and Javier and they are one of my fav couples which is probably why I liked this book so much though I wish there had been more BDSM elements even though the plot necessitated that Sofia keep her virginity until the end of the book. I found this to be a sweet read compared to what Julia usually writes but it was perfect and I loved it. What a great read.

Captive Ever After (Captive 2.5) by Julia Sykes

This book is about Andres and Samantha trying to rescue Valentina from Adrian until they find out she might not want to be saved.
This was a fun book, I really loved Andres and Samantha they are my fav and Valentina and Adrian are tied for first place. They really are a good family together. I wish we could have seen more of both couples because I love them both but hopefully we'll see more of them in future books.

Stolen Beauty (Captive 2) by Julia Sykes

This book is about Valentina the sister of Andrès. When their father passes away their older brother sells her to another crime family to pay off some debts. Thus begins her life or subjugation. She finds a light among the darkness with the son of her captor Adrian. When they are brutally separated it leads to ten years of pain and misery. Now Adrian is back to claim what is his. Can Valentina and Adrian make it out of Colombia with their lives and hearts intact?
This book was great! I was super excited to find out what happened to Valentina and the story did not disappoint. Adrian is a hard man and Valentina is just trying to survive both think the other betrayed them but they find out this is not the case and try to pick up where they left off over a decade ago. The escape from Colombia was crazy! I was soo not expecting the things that happened the violence was very descriptive, the book definitely gave me many feels. I loved Adrian and Valentina and how they have to learn to be together gain. Hugo made my blood boil and I'm glad he got what he deserved. Mateo was a cool character and I can't wait to learn more about him and Sofia. This was a great book!

Claiming My Sweet Captive (Captive 1.5) by Julia Sykes

This was a great retelling of the story from Andres pov. I really liked getting inside his head and hearing his thoughts and feelings for Samantha. It was cool to see all the conversations between him and Cristian that we didn't get to see in the book only told from Sam's pov. Great story.

Sweet Captivity (Captive 1) by Julia Sykes

This book is about Sam she's been kidnapped but her kidnapper may turn out to be her savior. I usually like to write a short book description before I give my personal opinions on a book but this one is just too hard to do without spoilers so I'm going right to my fangirl opinion. I LOVED Sam and Andrés! I've been waiting for this book for a while now, I fell in love the first time I met her and was super excited to FINALLY read her book and IT. WAS. AWESOME! I felt like it was a mix of Master and Czar, but Andrés wasn't really a bad guy and tries to help Sam. Sam also was a kick ass heroine when she returns to help her man. That took a lot of guts and then going into hiding to keep him safe and be with him was sooo sweet. I loved that we found out why Sam is so awkward and that Andrés was able to help her get rid of some of her anxiety. I felt bad that her relationship with Dex suffered but I think they'll be able to get back to being good friends in future books. This book was everything I've been waiting for and Sam and Andrés are my new official favorite couple! Can't wait to see where the series goes next.

War of Hearts by Julia Sykes

This book is about a young woman named Ashlyn. She meet Joseph in a bar and fall in love but unfortunately he is taken from her. When he disappears she is heartbroken until she's kidnapped. She's taken by Joseph's best friend Marco. When she wakes up she's their prisoner in a lavish estate. When she learns that they are bad men she's angry but she can't help her feelings for Joseph. As she spend more time with them her feelings for Marco also begin to grow. She feels like she's betraying Joseph by liking Marco but she can't help it. And then they admit they want her together. She can't process this until an attempt is made on her life. She falls deeper and deeper in love with both men. When danger comes for all three of them can they survive and have the life they've always wanted?

Spoilers!!!!!

I loved Ashlyn! She was so sweet but also tough. Joseph is caring but firm with her and Marco is tender and caring albeit in his own dark way. I loved Ashlyn's struggle with her feelings for both men and their struggles with wanting to keep her safe in their dangerous world. I hated all the family members and I felt so bad for Ashlyn when she gets attacked and then poisoned. I was happy when they were finally sent away and all three of them were able to finally be together and be themselves. This was a great book I wish it wasn't a standalone though because the characters were great! Another awesome book by Julia Sykes

Battle For Love by Julia Sykes

This book was a short prequel to the upcoming War of Hearts. It's about the beginnings of Ashlyn and Joseph's relationship but unfortunately his past comes back to haunt him because he's hiding from something. When his good friend Marco shows up there's nothing that can be done to stop the destiny of all three of these people. Life will change for both Ashlyn and Joseph but will it be for the better?
This was a really fun short read that explains a little bit about how Ashlyn and Joseph meet. It does not explain anything about Marco other than he is good friends and has a brotherly relationship with Joe. We get an idea of where Joseph comes from but not much else than that. Though we get to see a little bit of what the people he's used to being around are like in the ending when Marco does something rash for his friend. I really can't wait to read War of Hearts and find out more about their story!

Nice and Naughty: A Christmas Collection by Julia Sykes

I got this anthology so I could read Christmas Knight and it was awesome. Lydia and Smith are one of my favorite couples from the impossible series and it was nice to see what they were up to this holiday season. Their life together keeps getting better and their family keeps growing which is really fun to read. Julia write such real characters that it's just so fun to read. Another great addition to the series.

Brandon Dark Grove Plantation by Julia Sykes

This book is about Ella she'd the dominatrix of Dark Grove. She's used to having to be in control at work where she's a lawyer and has to continuously prove that she's as tough as any man she works with. This also translates into her persona at Dark Grove. She's doesn't submit to anyone. Brandon is new and he's known from the first time he saw her that Ella is meant to be his now it's only a matter of him proving it to her and breaking down her walls.

This book was great, it was really fun to learn more about Ella who we met in the first Dark Grove book Holden. She's a tough lady but she has a softer side. Brandon was such a sweetheart. He knows they're meant to be together but he has to prove it to her. Ella is afraid by submitting she'd showing weakness but Brandon shows her that she can be soft while being strong. She doesn't have to give up her role as Dominatrix of Dark Grove to be loved by him. The ending was unexpected. I thought something might happen but when it did I was a little shocked. Of course Brandon comes to the rescue and all is right again.

When his temper gets out of hand a handsome stranger named Holden shows up to her rescue. Holden knows what he wants and he wants Holly. He protects her then he seduces her and she's more than ready to be seduced. This story was hot! I'd love to read more books in this series.
