Heaven on Earth (Compass Boys 1) by Jayne Rylon & Mari Carr

This is the first book in the new Compass Boys series, like the Compass Brothers and the Compass Girls this series tells the story of the youngest generation of Compton boys now adults. Austin Compton knows he's not meant to sit in a classroom but instead he's meant to be working to further help his families ranch, so he buys a big rig and delivers animals to farms. When on one of his trips he acquires a stowaway on his trailer his life will change forever. Hayden is with a drunk he's made their life difficult by spending their money on booze, now he's become violent and it's the last straw. She runs in the middle of the night to escape and finds herself in Austin's trailer and about to go on the journey of a lifetime. Can Austin be patient enough to wait for the woman he loves? And can Hayden realize that she can lean on a man without losing herself?
This book was so emotional! Austin is such a sweetheart and Hayden is a brave and tough woman. I loved her strength and I love that Austin was willing to help her and be a good person. The Compton family are as loving as ever. I really enjoyed reading about all the younger Compass boys. I'm excited to read more about Bryant I'm convinced his story will be a lot of fun to read. I loved that Hayden had to go out on her own and prove she could survive by herself but also that when she realized that she might have made a mistake and lost Austin that she was willing to try and make it right. Austin was a really great guy, he's set the bar high for the rest of the Compton boys can't wait to read their stories.
