This story is about Hailey who has grown up in an orphanage and dreams of finding love and safety. Cav is an alien who has been hurt by a previous mate and has decided to keep Hailey under lock and key so she can't betray him. Both must learn to trust and love each other so they can live a happy life.
Hailey was sweet but she wasn't a pushover. She told Cav right away that keeping her locked up wasn't fair and that his previous mate may have betrayed him but she wouldn't. Cav is insecure and he doesn't trust Hailey but when he sees that she just wants to be loved and have freedom not run off with the first male she sees he realizes that keeping her locked away isn't the answer. When he learns to trust her their relationship grows and they are able to live happily together. Great story.
